UAE to Recruit 400 Bangladeshi Drivers for Dubai Taxi Corporation

The Dubai Taxi Corporation, a leading state-owned transport company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced plans to recruit 400 professional male drivers from Bangladesh as part of its strategic workforce expansion.

Recruitment Process and Schedule
The hiring process will be conducted through the Bureau of Manpower, Employment, and Training (BMET), under the supervision of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment. Al-Anas Overseas, an authorized recruitment agency, will oversee the selection procedures.
A three-day skill evaluation and driving competency test will be held at the Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Center (BKTTC) in Kalyanpur, Dhaka, on September 9, 14, and 15, 2025.
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in professional driving standards aligned with UAE regulations.

Part of an Expanding Employment Program
This recruitment is part of a long-term workforce development plan aimed at strengthening the UAE’s public transportation sector.
Notably, in the previous year, around 1,300 Bangladeshi drivers were employed in various roles, including taxi and motorcycle operations. The UAE aims to expand this number to 2,000 annually, with a strong emphasis on experienced and well-trained candidates.
Officials noted that the initiative not only enhances employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers but also contributes significantly to the country’s foreign remittance earnings and international labor reputation.
